These terms apply when you use AI Agency Index as a visitor, business customer, account holder, buyer, freelancer, agency or specialist. Please read the terms that apply before posting, purchasing or accepting work.
1. About the marketplace
AI Agency Index helps UK businesses discover AI, software, web, app, CRM, automation and digital specialists and fixed-price services. The platform provides listings, brief and matching workflows, account tools and, for some services, checkout.
The supplier responsible for work should be identified on the listing, quote or order confirmation. Where an independent specialist is identified as the supplier, the contract for that professional work is between the customer and that specialist unless the order expressly says otherwise.
2. Eligibility and accounts
- You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding agreement.
- Account and application information must be accurate, current and not misleading.
- You are responsible for keeping login details confidential and for activity performed through your account.
- Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access or misuse.
3. Briefs, listings and quotes
A project brief is a request for information or quotes and does not oblige a business to hire. A specialist response is not accepted until the parties agree the scope, price, delivery plan and any other material terms.
Users must provide enough accurate information for others to assess the opportunity. Prices, availability and delivery estimates can change until an order or written agreement is confirmed.
4. Orders, contracts and payments
- Prices are shown in GBP. Any applicable VAT or other charges should be displayed before payment or stated in the quote.
- Payment may be taken by a third-party payment processor under its own payment terms and security controls.
- The order confirmation, listing or accepted quote defines the agreed scope. Work outside that scope may require a new price and timescale.
- A customer must provide information, access, approvals and feedback reasonably needed to deliver the work.
5. Memberships, leads and credits
Specialist plans may include profile, lead, credit or marketplace features. The current price, renewal period and included allowance are the values shown when the plan is purchased. A recurring plan continues until cancelled in accordance with the account or billing instructions shown at purchase.
Credits are platform units, have no cash value and cannot be transferred unless a feature expressly allows it. Accessing a lead does not guarantee contact, a reply or paid work. Specialists must decide whether an opportunity is suitable before spending credits or responding.
6. Cancellations, refunds and consumer rights
Cancellation and refund eligibility depends on the supplier, the type of service, whether delivery has started and any statutory rights that apply. Contact us and the named supplier promptly if you need to cancel or report a problem.
Consumers may have cancellation and quality rights for online services or digital content. If you expressly ask for a service to begin during a statutory cancellation period, you may have to pay for work properly completed before cancellation. Nothing in these terms removes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
7. Specialist responsibilities
Specialists and agencies must:
- describe their identity, experience, services, prices and availability honestly;
- hold any insurance, permissions, qualifications and tax registrations required for their work;
- protect confidential information and personal data received through the marketplace;
- communicate material delays, scope changes and conflicts promptly; and
- comply with applicable law and their agreement with each customer.
Vetting supports marketplace quality but is not a guarantee of a specialist's future conduct, availability or project outcome.
8. Acceptable use
You must not use the service to:
- publish unlawful, fraudulent, defamatory, discriminatory, infringing or deliberately misleading material;
- scrape the platform, send spam, harvest personal data or contact users for unrelated purposes;
- probe security, introduce malicious code, evade access controls or interfere with normal operation;
- impersonate another person or manipulate reviews, prices, leads or marketplace activity; or
- use a brief or lead for anything other than assessing and discussing the relevant work.
9. Content and reviews
You retain ownership of content you submit. You give AI Agency Index a non-exclusive licence to host, reproduce and display that content as needed to operate and promote the marketplace. Public profile content may be indexed by search engines.
Reviews must reflect a genuine experience. We may investigate, reject or remove content that is unlawful, irrelevant, unsupported or breaches these terms. Moderation does not mean we endorse every user statement.
10. Intellectual property and confidentiality
AI Agency Index branding, software and original site content may not be copied or commercially reused without permission. Ownership and licensing of project deliverables must be agreed with the supplier. Until it is agreed, do not assume that source code, third-party assets or reusable tools transfer automatically.
Each party should protect confidential information and use it only for the relevant project or marketplace purpose, except where disclosure is required by law.
11. Availability and third-party services
We aim to keep the platform available and accurate but cannot promise uninterrupted access. Hosting, payments, email, analytics and external links may rely on third parties. We may change or withdraw features for security, legal, maintenance or commercial reasons.
12. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
Subject to that, AI Agency Index is not responsible for an independent specialist's acts, omissions or deliverables where the specialist is the named supplier. Business users are responsible for appropriate backups, security review, acceptance testing and professional advice for their intended use.
For business users, liability for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, revenue, opportunity, anticipated savings or data is excluded to the extent permitted by law. Consumer rights are not affected.
13. Suspension and termination
We may restrict, suspend or close an account where reasonably necessary to investigate fraud, protect users or security, comply with law, address non-payment or enforce these terms. Where appropriate, we will explain the reason and provide a way to raise a concern.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms when the marketplace, pricing model or legal requirements change. The latest version and date will remain on this page. Material changes affecting an active recurring service will be communicated where reasonably required.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, except that a consumer living elsewhere in the UK retains any mandatory protections and rights to bring proceedings available in the part of the UK where they live. Business disputes are subject to the courts of England and Wales.
